Very dirty and run down!!
We enjoy premier when on holiday around the UK. But this one was horrible. Here's a list.
1. Poo stained toilet
2. Blood stain on bed sheet
3. Dripping leak from bathroom ceiling.
4. Thick layer of dust of cobwebs around lamps.
5. Dirty scum caked around and on soap dispenser.
6. Hair dryer caked in dust around buttons and extractor.
7. Kettle gunned in grime too.
I'm sure there was more, but to upset to take not.
The man at reception told us he couldn't swap our rooms as fully booked.
We cancelled the following night and cut my Birthday weekend early.
As of yet. They have not replied to our complaint!
Thoroughly disappointed!
Stayed here whilst attending a family wedding nearby. Although comfortable, the room was looking tired, with no phone nor trouser press available. I suppose it's the norm for budget accommodation.
Staff were friendly in the main, 1 lady receptionist didn't acknowledge anyone as we left and returned.
The attached Beefeater restaurant needs serious attention. Tatty seats and lifting carpet, detracted from some reasonable fare.
Very large room which was very clean. Staff were adequate but location was on busy roundabout so not ideal, in my view anyway. Whitstable is a lovely harbour town, more shabby than chic.
Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The room was very clean with a lovely hot shower.
I shall definitely book in here again and again when I come to Whitstable.
I was a little apprehensive after reading some reviews, but this was one of the nicest Premier Inn stays I've had in a while. The accessable rooms aren't as nice in decor as the standard rooms, but everything worked as it should and the bed was very comfy. I had been nervous about the temperature as lots of reports of the rooms being unbearably warm, but this was not the case in our room. There was a fan available too, but didn't really need it. Would stay again.
We stayed here at the beginning of July 2023 for two nights. The room was clean and tidy and bed was nice a comfortable. Room was looking a little tired mind.
However, our room was like an oven. It wasn't particularly hot outside (low 20's °C) but the room was 28°C, we were so hot. It really ruined our stay. We checked with reception, but all heating was off. Windows only opened slightly as they do in many hotels. Given the cost, I'd expect some form of air con.
Good location for getting into Whitstable, bus stop right outside and very frequent buses.
Overall, for the price paid it was disappointing as the heat was just too much.
One of Premier Inn's many great hotels (I should know - I've visited a lot of them). Would happily come here again next time I'm in the area. Excellent value for money too, especially on a Sunday night!
Pros:
-Plenty of parking
-Excellent & friendly staff
-Clean and comfy rooms
-Quiet and yet close to the nearby roads.
-Everything you need basically for a good overnight stay.
Cons: If I'm being picky:
-The bedside sockets are only on one side - a bit of a challenge when there's two of you with phones to charge overnight.
-No a/c (we were okay, but were visiting in the autumn) and that might be an issue in winter.
-The turning off the main road into the Inn is a bit challenging - especially when the neighbouring pub is full of visitors - be prepared to slow down a lot and take it carefully.
I paid for my parents to stay here for a few nights for their wedding anniversary. I spoke with Stacy about a week before and asked if I sent decorations via amazon, could they put them up in their room. Stacy was more than happy to help me and added a note to their stay. My parents arrived today and my mum was in tears, so happy with what they had done with the room. Very impressed, great customer service.
